Ragley beat Exhall convincingly

Tyler again won the toss and put Exhall in to bat. Some very tight bowling - Kobe 2 maiden overs 1 wicket and Cam 2 overs for 6, set the tone for the match. Toby 2 overs 2 for 13, Josh 2 overs 1 maiden for 3 and Louis 2 overs 1 maiden for 6 runs, continued the pressure and while Abbas went for 19 in his 3 overs, he did pick up 4 wickets. Due to their scorer finding that all outfield players had to bowl, Brody bowled the last over for only 5 runs. Only 61 runs conceded with some excellent ground fielding and 3 victims for Tyler including 2 stumpings, left a highly achievable target of 233 for 7. Kobe 10 and Cam 2 moved the score to 220 in their 4 overs and Josh and Louis had got to 236 before 2 wickets brought us back to 230 in the 8th. Toby 20 then proceeded to dispatch the bowling to all corners, so that we were 259 at the 3/4 stage. Tyler 16 but one dismissal and Abbas 10 pinched runs in their own ways, before we finished on 293 for 4. Special mention to Brody, Abbas, Cam and Louis who all fielded 4 overs for Exhall, as they had a last minute drop out. Overall a very satisfying victory, with the game played in a good spirit, as confirmed by their scorer. It looks like we will need similar generosity from Tanworth on Sunday, as we currently only have 6 players available!
