If only Warren Troye and Alan Mucklow were registered with the club, I could record Warren's 28 until Alan ran him out, Alan's 5 runs and wicket and Warren's catch. However as they aren't I can't. They chose to bat and despite allowing them 12 players and last man standing, only managed 85 in the 25.1 of the 30 overs allowed, as their average age was in the teens, despite fielding 2 pensioners . Everyone got a wicket, apart from the Director of Junior Cricket. Warren then opened and was accumulating nicely until Alan called him for a run that wasn't there, then hesitated, then ran (Warren's description of events). At 41 for 3 we looked shaky but then Simon came out and played a terrific innings, finishing on 54 not out. Andy Foster, who had earlier deceived 4 youngsters with straight ones, then hit a good 15 and One Shot added 13 before Panther closed out the innings with Tesco Clubcard. A stress free afternoon for us, makes a change.
