Note from Chairman:

I hope you are able to attend the above meeting, which is an important step in the progression of our Club.

Firstly, we need to adopt a revised Constitution, as we have not been operating in accordance with the old one, which is some 10 years old. The proposed Constitution is based on the ECB model and as we are hoping to achieve Clubmark status this year, it is essential that we adopt this. As the ECB website says:

ECB Clubmark is an accreditation scheme for cricket clubs and is licensed from Sport England as part of their wider Clubmark scheme.
ECB Clubmark shows that a club is sustainable, well run and provides the right environment for its members. Clubmark accreditation also means your club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option for their young people.

In addition, we need to establish the new Members subscriptions for 2019. After a review with senior players, the Committee are prepared to continue to offer two types of Senior Full membership, one with a lower annual payment but higher match fees and a second with a higher annual payment but lower match fees. The level of those fees will be agreed at this meeting.

Finally, I have compiled the enclosed, structured list of Aims and Objectives for the Club, which your Committee have endorsed. I would like to expand on these at the meeting, so you as members understand what the Club is trying to achieve, in both the short and long term and can have your input.
