Alcester 2nd XI lost to Harvington by 51 runs last SaturdayD
A & R started well restraining Harvington to less than 50 runs in the first twenty overs with excellent bowling from all of the bowlers but especially Curtis Clark and Ben Shuttleworth. Gradually Harvington built on the total and accelerated in the latter part of their innings before wickets fell rapidly in the last 8 overs. Curtis Clark finishing with 4 for 20 and Simon Sloan (pressed into action following an injury to Ben) 3 for 15. Harvington were all out in 44 overs for 159. In reply A & R lost wickets on a regular basis and although several batsmen made a start none went on to make a good score and the innings closed at 108 in the 35th over.
