It was definitely the day for Ragley’s captains as 2nd XI captain David Swinburn lead his team to victory in the first league game of the season as he carried his bat to post his best score for Ragley with a magnificent 137 not out. This lead to a very good team total of 246-4 in the tricky conditions. In reply Fladbury were never really in it and had limped to 100-3 in the 32nd over, leaving them far too much to do. They closed on 171-8 with all the Ragley bowlers keeping it tight, Wadelin 2-22 and Mike Bennett 2-28 the pick of them.
