Alcester & Ragley 1sts (279-6) beat Rowington (220-7) by 59 runs
Ragley eased to a comfortable victory away at Rowington after posting a huge total batting first. All the Ragley batsmen chipped in with contributions starting with an opening partnership of 83 between Ben Lee (36) and Michael Bennett. Lee was the man out at this stage and Adam Warbrick joined the fray and boosted the score up to 128 before he was out and then Bennett followed 2 runs later after making his maiden 1st eleven 50 when he was trapped for an excellent 74, including 14 fours. Gary Strain and Lewis Clark set about building on this foundation and they put on 78 for the 4th wicket in the next 10 overs. Strain was out at this stage for 25 and the total was 208 with 7 overs left. Clarke dominated these final overs as he raced past 50 and was out off the final ball of the innings for a hard hitting 79, with 9 fours and 2 sixes. The most successful Rowington bowlers were Chinn 2-63 and Rodgers 2-73.

In the chase of this total Rowington captain Rodgers began positively, although they were behind the run rate when he was first out caught on the long on boundary by Adam Peachey off the bowling of Julian Reader for 24. Arthur Bennett claimed a wicket in the next over and Rowington were reeling on 30-2. Both opening bowlers were changed at this juncture and the game was effectively over as a contest as Sam Westwood bowled Hayward for 17 and then A Bennett took a superb running catch on the midwicket boundary to dismiss Smith for 6 off the bowling of Warbrick. When Page was caught at slip also from the bowling of Warbrick the score was 110-5 and Rowington required 170 to win from 20 overs. Although Ragley struggled to take further wickets the run rate was far too much to achieve and Cross batted well for 84 before he was out in the penultimate over, and he added 100 for the 6th wicket with Chinn who ended up 55 not out. Warbrick finished with 2-33 and Westwood 2-47 to be the most successful bowlers.
